Everyone's At It...(sic Lily Allen)

Kemp folding "the hobby" is really taking off. Marc Jacob's accessories designer and über-cool Katie Hillier's office together with Partizan Production's staff have also been manically indulging. The economy is literally going to come to a halt this is so addictive.

Miyowadawants submitted the administrator my friend James's efforts to the site administrator (see below):

Hi Mr. Ross,

I have taken a distinct liking or even love of your blog. I am fastidiously following it with vigour and check in regularly to have a titter. In fact, many of my friends have been indulging in their own efforts of "Kemp folding" as we like to call it. I have even posted your life-changing project on my blog which sadly isn't as niche as yours. Please let me know if you would like me to take the post about your wonderful project off my blog although I hope you appreciate my desire to share the "Kemp Folds" news.

I do hope you like my friend James's effort of folding Ross's face, I feel it has a more minimalist touch than some other of the photographs on your site and hope it will feature on your site.

Keep folding!

Miyo Wada

Dear you,

Many thanks for sending us your fold, or enquiring about Kemp Folds.

The staff of Kemp Folds are doing their very best to get back to
everyone who gets in touch, but are currently a bit swamped. So
swamped, in fact, that we hardly get any chance to fold Ross
ourselves!

Rest assured that we've got yours, and we'll be in touch as soon as we
get to it.

All the best, and keep folding,

Kemp Folds

How to Get Shot by the Sartorialist

Scott Schuman aka The Sartorialist's blog is one of the most looked at in fashion. He takes amazing pictures of well-dressed/kooky/fashionable people around the world and is one of the only bloggers who have Gucci advertising on his blog. This poster couldn't break down the criteria you need to get shot by him any better! It's by Christene Barberich & Piera Gelardi, Design by Joshua Covarrubias Thanks SwissMiss

To dry for

Love these tea towels by Keep Calm Gallery which make me really excited. The firm was established in January 2007 by Lucas Lepola and Hayley Thwaites out of a love for typography. Via To Dry For

The cook gives the orders

"T" for tedious chore = drying up

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Fob someone off with the drying up by telling them how "Ace" they are at it.

Snap happy

Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP looks great. What I love the most is the test shot the reviewer on Cnet did (see below) for this. Never knew a tech blog with such a still-life eye that had such a Present and Correct aesthetic.

Toys for Boys

Iranian Emil Baddal's Lamborghini concept. I'm not into cars but looks like an interesting sexed up angular version and a new direction in "toys for boys" cars. ViaFlylyf

Bunnies and Bunney's

Bespoke jewellery trays commissioned by Andrew Bunney are made from natural bridle leather. I love the thumper-tastic still-life press shots by Marius W. Hansen.Bunney set up this year and was previously creative director at Doc Marten's and works with Stüssy and Gimme 5. He's also a contributor to I-D Magazine

The Box sans musique

It's a toy box but the lid geniously doubles as a tabletop, by Japanese designer Oji Masanori who mainly focuses on designing lifestyle goods. I love his whole hand-crafted creamy aesthetic.

Heavy Petting

Great packaging by Japanese Eding:Post. What is it? It's to keep your pet's trash separate from the humans in the house. They've got some other great stuff on their site but seem to be a bit obsessed with teddies and bunnies

Fine Time

Cool clocks by Japanese designer Shimizu Junichi for IDEA International The green LED clock has a 9 minute snooze button, long enough to have another mini-kip when you wake up but short enough so that you're not late for work.

Steel mesh casing makes a great cover for LED numbers.

Ross Kemp's face folded

Vadim Kibardin's digital clock has a light sensor that inverts the colours to white at night and black during the day. It's powered by lithium ion accumulators. A timeless creation I'm sure you'll agree.
